Dive sites are chosen on the day of diving in discussion with the boat captain and review of the ocean conditions. The PACIFIC ocean can be unpredictable and conditions can be different from what you are used to.

If you have not been diving in over a year or since your training we highly recommend a Scuba Tune up..

Where do we go diving in Samara?

Coral Project - Beginners.

Sandy areas, corals,  fish and shallow water. Training Divers on Day 1 and Discover Scuba Divers.

Dive each crevasse lining the island looking for small turtles and guitar sharks.

Isla Chora Point - All Levels

A corner of our only island in Samara. Good for passing rays and turtles. Depth is accessible for all levels.

Diving around the island point over hardened lava runs and red Acropora corals lining the corner.

Isla Chora Pinnacles - All Levels

3 Peaks form a  triangle, a deep plateau, overhangs and sea fans layer these formations. Great for schools of reef fish, octopus and eagle rays.

Carrillo Pinnacles - All Levels

Above water, a large boulder slab points to 5 descending peaks. Range from 7m to 25m.

We dive the base of each formation before returning to each of their peaks.

Punta Manta - All Levels

This is our favourite site, huge boulder and mushroom shaped formations, small caves and overhangs make for a great hiding spot for pregnant reef sharks, smaller turtles and rays. Plus it is the only site we have enjoyed the oceanic manta ray. Surf and Surge often sweeps this site so conditions means we cannot always access this area.

Buena Vista Pinnacle - All Levels

This enormous eruption rises out of the seabed from 30m down 600 meters offshore and rises to just under the surface. It can feel like diving on a drop off and then into plateaus and canyons. Soft coral growth is beautiful hiding many nudibranchs, octopus, shrimps and lobsters. 1 special cave seems to be the resting spot for reef sharks and once a 1.5m large red snapper!

Barco Quebrado - All Levels

Underwater rolling mountains folding out from the bay create walls and valleys and connecting each valley are coral filled narrow channels brimming with moray eels and reef fish. Large schools of jack fish that vortex around you are hypnotic. Seen here also shivers of rays, reef sharks and eagle rays.

Normally done on our 3 day departure as further out from Samara.

Arena Blanca - All levels

White sands line this little alcove created by the point of Garza and Guiones. A shllow dive but full of large sting rays. They use the white sand like camo. There  is also a small unusual wreck in this alcove accessible only at high tide and when the water is calm.

Done as part of our 3 dive adventure as further out from Samara.
